Professor Isabel Varanda, CITER researcher, will give the conference “La Sapienza della Croce: ecological problematica and the sfide poste alle religioni in un mondo secolarizzato” within the scope of the International Theological Congress “La Sapienza della Croce in a Mondo Plurale”, which will take place at the Pontificia Università Lateranense, Rome, from September 21st to 24th, 2021. The conference will take place on September 22nd.
The Congress, organized by the Cattedra Gloria Crucis of the Pontificia Università Lateranense, is one of the initiatives promoted by the Congregation of the Passion of Jesus (Passionists) to celebrate the Third Centenary of the Foundation (22 November 2020 - 1 January 2022).
Due to the contribution of numerous scholars from multiple academic, ecclesial and cultural backgrounds, the impact of the Wisdom of the Cross in the contemporary world is put into question according to four trajectories: the challenges of cultures; the promotion of humanism and interreligious dialogue; the new scenarios of evangelization; the charism of Saint Paul of the Cross for the present and the future of the world.
