(12.06.2019) IV Diálogo terra-a-terra. (Monastery of Pombeiro, in Felgueiras)Last June 12th, the research group Religion, Ecology and Citizenship (REC) organized the IV Diálogo Terra-a-Terra, at the Monastery of Pombeiro, in Felgueiras. The event was coordinated by Isabel Varanda, a CITER researcher. The dialogue included the intervention of José Paulo Abreu (CEHR), Joaquim Félix (CITER), João Alberto Correia (CITER), Vítor Novais (doctoral student in the area of Ethics), António Magalhães (doctoral student in the area of Sacred Scripture), Pilar Dias (Master in Chemistry) and João Alves (Master in Religious Sciences).

(10.05.2019) International colloquium: "persistence of the work II (art and religion)"
This colloquium was traced in a dynamic of general relation between art and religion and succeeded to a first one already realized under the sign of the "persistence of the work", which the theme was "art and politics". In fact, the two colloquiums try to draw what can be called the modern crossroads of art, posing the challenges of a dialogue between the three ways involved: art, religion and politics.

(10.04.2019) International panel: «Women's Diaconate. An open issue», with Phyllis Zagano and Bertrand Pottier sj
CITER organized an international panel: «Women's Diaconate. An open issue», with Phyllis Zagano and Bernard Pottier sj, members of the Papal Study Commission on the Women's Diaconate established in August 2016 by Pope Francis to review the theology and history of the office of deacon the first years of Christianity. This panel was moderated by Luísa Almendra and António Marujo and is integrated in the project “Women and Religions”, whose propose is to help the scientific community, the different religious communities and the women in general to gain a more informed awareness of problems and opportunities; of what is to be done, what is possible and what cannot be done for effective promotion of the feminine condition within the different religions.

(04. - 07.03.2019) CITER's participation at the 2019 EuARe Conference in Bologna
Luísa Almendra and Teresa Bartolomei participated at the Annual Conference 2019 of the European Academy of Religion. They organized one of the panels "Author meets critique" where Teresa Bartolomei's latest book "Radix Matrix: Community Belonging and the Ecclesial Form of Universalistic Communitarism" was presented.

(22.01.2019) «Fourth German Lesson of Religious Studies»
On 22.01.2019, the fourth German Lesson in Religious Studies took place, entitled «Science of Religion and Theology in the Academy - Conflicts and Possible Solutions» and presented by Professor Jens Schlieter (University of Bern). Main point of Professor Schlieter's talk was the dialogue between these two scientific fields that characterize the principles of CITER. Almost all of CITER's full member, as well as professors from other Faculties of the UCP and a general audience, were present. Also present was the President of the Association of Saint Bartholomew of the Germans in Lisbon (Dr Constantin Ostermann von Roth) who is sponsoring these German Lessons of Religious Studies.
