International Colloquium «After Continental Philosophies and Colonial Christianities»

The Research Centre in Theology and Religious Studies (CITER), Loyola University Chicago and the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (PUC Camp) organize the International Colloquium «After Continental Philosophies and Colonial Christianities», bringing together researchers from Philosophy, Theology and Religioous Studies from several countries such as Austria, South Africa, Brazil, United States, Italy, Mozambique and Portugal.

The colloquium aims to discuss the multiple resonances between the different continental philosophies, the limits of colonial Christianity and its reminiscences in view of the criticism carried out by post-colonial and de-colonial perspectives. The event is part of the activities of the Working Groups on Epistemologies of the Common Home and Systematic Theology of the Common Home, both of the “Common home and new ways of living interculturally” project. The event will be held in a hybrid form and will take place between May 9 to 13, 2022.
