The curricular unit, proposes two types of objectives:

I. At the level of contents:

a) to introduce to the prophetic literature ("former Prophets" and "later Prophets", according to the classification of the Jewish tradition), in general;

b) to deepen, keeping in mind the religious, social and political context, the specific knowledge of each of the books that make up the prophetic corpus;

II. At the methodological level

a) introduce students to the exegetical analysis of a biblical text or theme;

b) enable the experience of different methodologies and exegetical approaches.
