1.    To identify the epistemological difference between science of religion, religious studies and theology;
2.    To know the main scientific theories on the origin and nature of religion;
3.    To know the principles and method of phenomenology of religion;
4.    To know the fundamental categories of the religious phenomenon, and to identify them in the peculiarities of its historical and cultural expressions;
5.    To link the universal history with the fundamental features of the religious history of humankind;
6.    To know with some detail at least one of the non-Christian religions.
