Her doctoral thesis in Human and Social Sciences was titled ‘Medo e Desenvolvimento Humano - uma proposta de educação de adultos desde a inter-relação Criatividade e Motricidade Humana' [‘Human Fear and Development - an adult education proposal starting from the interrelationship between human motricity and creativity']. She obtained a master's degree in Applied Total Creativity; a first degree in Sociology and completed a primary school teacher's course. She is the coordinator of the Mais Saber [further education for +50) University Programme, a lecturer in Sociology of Religion and in Sociology and Ethnics in Education at the Faculty of Theology, of Creativity in Leadership and Negotiation Problem Solving at the Faculty of Economy and Management and of Creativity at the Arts School of UCP - Portuguese Catholic University, Porto. She is an instructor in creativity programmes, a member of the editorial and scientific board of Coléccion Léeme of the International Institute of Knowledge (Spain-Colombia) as well as of the International Network of Researchers in Human Motricity. She is member of the Creative Problem Solving Group, Inc. representative in Portugal and author of articles and chapters in Portuguese and international journals and books.
