Maria Luísa Araújo de Oliveira Monteiro Ribeiro Ferreira is Full Professor (actually retired) of Modern Philosophy at Universidade de Lisboa where she  taught   Modern Philosophy,  Didactics of Philosophy, Women's Studies, Environmental Philosophy,  Gender Philosophy and several Seminars on Spinoza and Hume. From    2001 to 2007 she was editor of the magazine  Philosophica, from the  Department of Philosophy of  Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa and from 2001 to 2012 she was a member of the Scientific Council of the same magazine. From 2014 to 2016 she participated in - Agência de Avaliação e Acreditação do Ensino Superior -where she assessed Philosophy Courses in several Portuguese Universities. She was chief coordinator of several  philosophy projects. Last publication: Marginalidade e Alternativa. Vinte e Seis Filósofas para o Século XXI,  Lisboa, Colibri, 2016. Besides this   she has published/edited   twenty four more books, and  many articles in the areas of Teaching Philosophy, Gender Philosophy, Modern Philosophy (mainly on Spinoza). Presently she is a researcher of Centro de Filosofia of Universidade de Lisboa, she is part of the Boarding Directions of  Sociedade Científica da Universidade Católica Portuguesa and of Sociedade de Ética Ambiental.  She  is also a  member of GT Benedictus de Spinoza,  Universidade Estadual do Ceará, Brasil, of the  Editorial Council of the Philosophy Magazine Conatus, of Seminário Spinoza, Spain, of  Association des Amis de Spinoza, France and of  Accion Integrada Hispaña-Portugal, Leibniz.
