Phd in Theology, with expertise in Theological Ethics, at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, in Germany. Assistant professor at the Faculty of Theology, of the Catholic University of Portugal. He teaches, in the field of Systematic Theology, curricular units in the ambit of bioethics, sexual ethics fundamental ethics.
He has taught Moral Theology and Trinitarian Theology at the Superior Institute of Theological Studies of Coimbra. He was an invited teacher in the School of Health Sciences of Leiria and School of Technology and Management of Leiria, where he taught curricular units in the ambit of bioethics and medical ethics. He coordinated, in Fatima (2012-2015) the master's degree in Religious Sciences of the Faculty of Theology. He was member of the Board of the Journal Didaskalia, (2013-2017), and Editorial Board of the Magazine Fatima XXI (2010-2017) and has conducted organizing and scientific committees of congresses on the phenomenon of Fatima.
He is a priest of the Diocese of Leiria-Fatima, and actually the vice-rector of the Shrine of Fatima, Head of Office of the Bishop of the Diocese of Leiria-Fatima. He was the coordinator of the committee in charge for the celebration of the Centennial of the Apparitions of Fatima, from 2010 to 2017. For the visit of Pope Francis, in May 2017, he was the communication director of the event.
He is a member of the Ethics Committee at the Hospital Santo André, Leiria, since 2006.
