Maria Fernanda Brasete (1962-) is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures of the University of Aveiro and her teaching areas have covered Greek Language, Linguistics and Literature, Classical Culture, Greek Literature Topics, Portuguese Language, Portuguese as a Foreign Language, Literature and Readers Training, Introduction to Literary Studies, Cartography of the Imaginary and Terminology. He obtained his PhD in Literature, in 2001, at the UA, with a thesis entitled "The Prologue in the Euripidian Tragedy". His research has been carried out, as a priority, in the domains of Greek literature (tragedy, archaic and epic lyrics) and the reception of tragedy and Greek myths, but also extending to areas of the Portuguese language. She has participated in numerous international congresses and has published several books, as well as being the author or co-author of more than 40 chapters of books/articles, posters and reviews in the mentioned fields. She has also participated in the organization and scientific commission of several international congresses and in the editorial teams of "Ágora. Classical Studies in Debate" and "Forma Breve.
