Book by CITER researcher - " De Dante a Jorie Graham: a «outra viagem» da poesia"

Friday, November 12, 2021 - 14:52

This work, by Teresa Bartolomei, CITER researcher, establishes a relationship between Literature and Religion in a hermeneutic approach between Dante's Canto I of “Inferno” and a poem dedicated by Jorie Graham to the fresco of “Our Lady of Childbirth” by Piero della Francesca.

This argument is born out of the conviction of the extraordinary influence of the Divine Comedy in the Western literary and religious tradition that reaches us, here, in the 21st century with the approach to Graham as "one of the fundamental voices of Western humanism."
