Alex Villas Boas, researcher at CITER and professor at the Faculty of Theology at the Catholic University of Portugal, has published the book "Teologia e Poesia em Carlos Drummond de Andrade - Busca de Sentido e Razão de Recusa de Deus".

"The proposal of this book in the collection «Studies of Religion» intends to collaborate with the reflection of the contemporary religious phenomenon in its aspect of language and, more specifically, with the critique of theological language, insofar as the poet Carlos Drummond de Andrade, an expressive Portuguese-speaking author,  has in his poetics a reason for refusing God, or, more properly, for criticizing the imminently Eurocentric theological model, which lasted until the beginning of the second half of the twentieth century, as this theology is incompatible with the autonomy and the search for meaning in the contemporary individual, a fundamental issue in contemporary culture, with intercultural repercussions". From the Introduction.

The work is part of CITER's Religious Studies Collection.
